May was also Motorcycle Awareness month where several motorcycle organizations were recognized for the good they do in the community. On May 21st, Austin May Steve Adler declared May a month for motorcycle safety on the roads. “It was important to recognize May as Motorcycle Safety Month this afternoon,” said Mayor Steve Adler in a statement given to Kevin Schwaller of Austin KXAN. “There are thousands of motorcyclists on our roads, and it’s critical to work toward safer roads for every person that uses them.” The proclamation was accepted by members of Cycle Stylez MC, Kindred Riders MC, Calaveras MC and Scallywags RC. More than ever, it is imperative that we focus on the good that these guys in leather do for their families, friends and communities. Our hats are off to these clubs that stepped up to represent bikers and motorcyclists in the positive light that sheds more often than not.
