Folks,  Motorcycle Season is in full Swing! Here are a few of the rides I attended in May that you may enjoy trying in the future.

Memorial Weekend I rode down to the Mississippi coast with the Diamondbacks MC where I” Blow Out “. It’s a rally and Harley Drag Races hosted by the Asgard MC. This is an Old School Run. It has been larger in the past, but the bikers that attend are real , not weekend riders. It was a mellow weekend and I did not witness one single hassle or fight. Police were respectful and helpful. We had a good ride to the Coast and back to Grenada logging 600 miles of rain free highway.

The next rideValley , hosted by the Lake Trash Charity Riders. It’s held in Water Valley, Ms. Two friends of mine , Doug Daves and Jennifer Johnson held their wedding there. Julio from Creed MC, performed the service and it was a beautiful ceremony. I would like to congratulate them and pray they are Blessed with many years of laughter as they ride together down life’s highway.

The third ride was the Bridgette Rains Memorial Ride, hosted by the Dream Riders MC. Bridgette was injured in a car accident when hit by a Drunk Driver. She was 16 and died two years later from her injuries in 2003. Bill Rains is her Father and president of the Diamondbacks MC. We rode as a club to the cemetery and visited with her. Then we rode to Coffeeville Ms where the Dream Riders MC had a Poker Run at their Clubhouse. The money raised from a raffle, food, DJ Jeff Harmon and the band Roxi went into a Memorial Scholarship Fund.  (The Dream Riders are a Great Club who’s cause is “Biking for Children” raising money for children all across Mississippi).

Though an event I did not attend, I have one last one to cover; Waco Texas! I would like to ask you  to join with me in prayer for the nine dead, the seventeen who were wounded and their families. May God provide them with the strength to survive this tragic event.

Happy Trails to You Until We Meet Again !
